When we began planning our first trip to Italy, it was overwhelming. There was so many choices as to what parts of the country to see, what types of hotels to stay in, what mode of transportation to use, etc. We decided it made sense to enlist the assistance of a travel advisor and Paul came highly recommended. He did not disappoint. He spent a great deal of time with us to see just what type of vacation we wanted and gave us options that fit our budget. He set us up with perfect hotels, incredible tour guides and mapped out areas that he recommended we navigate on our own. He also recommended great restaurants. Even given all of that, perhaps the best part of working with Paul was once our trip began. When we had a travel issue (nothing to do with him), we called him and he immediately rearranged things, making our issue a non-issue. He checked in with us via e-mail throughout our trip and somehow, despite the time difference, seemed to always be available to us. It was like having an insider with us on vacation. We will most definitely be using his services on our next trip!

Paul assisted me and five close friends in planning a week-long trip to Mykonos, Greece. Although our points of origin were three different countries, Paul provided all the details for a seamless travel experience, including necessary transportation transfer requirements and alternative scheduling options, catered to each person’s port of arrival. He ensured that our wish for a private villa with very specific amenities was fulfilled down to the smallest detail and even added in the bonus of beautiful sunset views across a secluded bay. He also provided his own recommendations for sites to visit in the few extra days we planned to spend in Athens prior to returning home. When I visited Rome, Paul Bachant was my guide. With Paul—who speaks fluent Italian—as my guide, I felt like a local. We went to restaurants that no tourists frequented. One of my favorite meals was at one with no menus, where you didn’t order your own food. Instead, a warm and gracious grandmotherly woman brought out delicious authentic Italian dishes. It is one of my fondest memories of traveling abroad. In addition, we went to other off-the-beaten-path restaurants, where we drank wine and ate fresh food with the locals for hours.

Besides the usual sightseeing, we also went to local markets, saw the hidden church of skulls (the Crypt of Capuchins) and took an amazing ferry ride to the Island of Ponza, where we sunbathed and swam all day.

Paul is the ultimate travel specialist. When you are with him, you know everything is taken care of—you just have to let him lead the way, and you will have a fun-filled, safe trip and see and experience things you never would have without him. He plans every last detail, so you don’t have to think about a thing.

I had been terrified of flying, which prevented me from traveling. After talking with Paul, I decided to book a trip since I had always wanted to see Australia. Paul booked comfortable flights, sent tips on traveling and reassured me on all apects of the itinerary as the departure drew near. He also kept me up to date on flight status and confirmed my accommodations throughout the trip.

The trip was amazing and has changed my life!  I can't wait to book my next one!

I want to thank Insider Voyages for the wonderful trip to Italy that was planned just for us! Paul spent time with us to find out our interests, activity levels, and budget. He then planned a perfect itinerary tailored to fit our needs. Based on our input, he planned a 13-day trip to Rome, Naples and Positano on the Amalfi Coast. The hotels were wonderful...well located, immaculate and very comfortable.  He arranged for private tours in each location. We avoided lines and learned so much about each place. The guides were very knowledgeable and spoke English very well. There was also plenty of free time for self-guided tours, which Paul had mapped out for us. He also gave us suggestions for dining in each stop on the itinerary. Since Paul has lived in Italy, he recommended only the best authentic restaurants! It was a better trip than we could have imagined! We are ready to plan Northern Italy for next year.

I have been back from my summer adventure for two weeks and in that time, I have told at least 20 people about the amazing experience I had because of Insider Voyages.  From the beginning stages of planning to the day we arrived home, my son and I were treated with such care and respect. Paul listened to everything I preferred and valued for our summer vacation. We used Paul to book a trip to the Dominican Republic, and it was truly the vacation of a lifetime. Paul took care of everything and made the whole process seamless. Paul helped us plan a trip to the Amalfi Coast and the island of Ischia in the Bay of Naples.  The trip exceeded our highest expectations. The hotels were absolutely superb, with great rooms and great views, and all in perfect locations.
